If you thought Final Fantasy had a lot of sidequests...think again!

Lots of these are fun to complete, or just plain weird. *coughMithosandGeniscough* Take your pick. Do 'em all. It might take more than one playthrough. In fact, it probably will.

101 Dalmations--Colette and her dogs
Anytime in the game when Colette can speak

With Colette as your onscreen character, talk to every single dog you can find in Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. As a general rule, there are one or two in every town or outside of dungeons such as the Thoda Geyser or Balacrouf Masoleum. Also, be sure to get Altamira during day and night. Colette will earn a new title.

Figuirine Book
After Asgard Human Ranch

Remember Harley? The redhead in purple that was planning to blow up the stone dias that Raine opened a can of whup-ass on? Find his house in Asgard--it's the door in the wall under Aisha's house--and speak to him to get the book. Now it's time to make your mini peeps! Have Zelos onscreen and flirt with the ladies for pellets, or the Lobos in the Ice Temple and the monsters in the Earth Temple drop them as well. When you've got a decent amount, talk to Dirk. Completing the Figuirine Book will get a title for a party member. About the pellets; there are four types:

Pellets: Level One guys like random townspeople
Fine Pellets: Level Two guys like townspeople with names
Super Pellets: Level Three guys like family members of the party
Rare Pellets: Level Four guys like party members

Luin Rebuilt
After curing Pietro

This is a very expensive project, but not a problem if spread out over time, or if you fight the dragon in the Earth Temple and become a millionaire. (ehehehe) Just step inside Luin and donate to the fund. You have to leave and re-enter before donating again. The cheapskate way to do it is spend this much money each time:

1. 5000
2. 12,000
3. 21,500
4. 15,000
5. 20,000
6. 25,000
7. 35,000
8. 40,000
9. 45,000
10. 50,000
11. 75,000
12. 100,000
13. 5000
14. 5000
15. 5000

Once Luin is rebuilt you can get some neato weapons, some dogs, the Wonder Chef, and Lloyd's pirate outfit. Not to mention it is now a completely amazing city!

Raine and Genis' Mother
At the start of Disc 2

Simply fly to Exire in Tethe'alla (it's the floating dot on your map), go in the only house with a guy in it and speak to him, then find the house near the entrance where the lady says "Don't go in there," so of course, you go in. There you'll meet Virginia, who has Alzheimer's or somethin', and be sure to turn the sound up because the voice acting is cool. Afterwards you obtain her diary, which just takes up space in the Collector's Book.

Devil's Arms

Possibly the most famous sidequest of 'em all! To start, when you go to the Toize Valley Mine and crush the Bacura (spinning block) with the gigantic rock, examine it's broken remains to obtain Evil Eye, the first (and most disgusting) Devil's Arms. Then, when at Flanoir, say hello to the dude sitting in the doorway when you first come in. He'll send you on a quest to find all his other weapons, because he's too lazy to pull it off himself. He'll also give you Nebilim, which is Lloyd's. Two down, seven to go. The rest are located at:

Fafnir--Gaoracchia Forest
There is a black chest west of the save point that contains it, it might take some running around but nothing over 10 minutes to find.

Gates of Hell--Temple of Earth
At Altessa's house, speak to Mr. Green Gnomelette in the corner by Altessa's workshop. He'll leave. If you go to the Earth Temple, run past the dragon that gives you 10,000 Gald, and talk to these gnomelettes, they'll move out of the way and you can open the chest down the path.

Disaster--Altamira
This can only be done after completing the Remote Island Human Ranch. Check in at the hotel, and choose to stay out at night. Then, take the elemental railway to the casino. On the bridge to the theater is a dude who will sell it to you. Don't worry, it's cheap.

Soul Eater--Triet
(After Remote Island Ranch again) talk to the guy by the market, and then to the guy by the dog at the oasis. Now head out of Triet, look northwest, and find the skit point. If you run into it, you'll fight a giant worm to obtain the Devil's Arm. The worm itself is hardly a challenge.

Diablos--Latheon Gorge
Go across the first bridge, head west up the slope, then left down the slope, and open the black chest.

Apocalypse--Welgaia
At the city place where Star Trek guy gave you the Mana Fragment, head into the large apartment type place and open the chest in the room at the left. Don't worry, we're almost done!

Heart of Chaos--Hakonesia Peak
After you get all the other weapons, go back to Flanoir and find Abyssion. Then, find that old fart at Hakonesia Peak named Koton to get the final darkness weapon. (Thank God! But it's not over yet!)

NOW is the fun part. Check at Flanoir to notice Abyssion is missing. Do we care? You should. Head to the Temple of Darkness and down to the room where you duked it out with Shadow. There you will encounter...

Boss: Abyssion

You need to be AT LEAST level 75 if you want to beat him. HE IS the hardest boss in the game; so don't hesitate to use items! Afterwards, Presea earns the title "Empty Soul" and the Devil's Arms become actually useful weapons. Every time you kill an enemy, they get stronger. Is that nifty or what?

Arrgh, Me Hearties--Lloyd's Pirate Outfit
First off, Luin has to be rebuilt. Find the boat that was painted white, and speak to Captian Crunch there standing on the dock. Agree to buy his boat, then leave and re-enter the town. Head back over to Aifread (aka Cap'n Crunch) to get the outfit for Lloyd. Now, if you want to do a rather strange and pointless sidequest in which you find out Lyla is a retard, go to all the Houses of Salvation, then to Hima, then to Izoold and speak to Lyla. Wasn't that stupid? Ah well....Lloyd has a cool outfit now.

Colette's Maid Costume
Towards the end of the game, preferably after the Flanoir scene, go to the castle and talk to everyone in the kitchen. Then head up the stairs to find two maids conversing in the corner. Talking to them as Colette triggers a scene where Colette falls down...a lot. It's funny though. "Did you make any holes in the castle?" Gotta love that line. Anyway...Colette, for one reason or another, gets to keep her maid outfit.

Everybody Wants to Be a Kat--Genis' Katz Costume
(I watched too many Disney movies as a kid) After the Flanoir scene, go to the Meltokio slums to see a puny kid swear at a Katz (kids these days), then head to the item shop and speak to the Katz, then to their village. It's in Sylvarant on an island north of Dirk's house. In there, talk to the Elder, who is the one spinning around and talking about being high on catnip. (hey, don't ask me) Upon returning to the Meltokio slums, Genis will earn the title "Katz Katz Katz" and get his costume, which looks distinctly like a pink Teletubbie with ears and a tail. O_O

Raine's Maiden Outfit
Easiest one of 'em all! After the Flanoir event, return to Asgard and go up on the dias. Watch Raine dance again (if you could call it dancing; she should have danced like Napoleon Dynamite...lol) and gain some new members of her fan club, then she'll get to keep her Asgard outfit with the Toad hat.

Kratos' Judgement Costume
Um...I'm not sure if this counts as a sidequest, because all you have to do is take the Kratos ending. To do this, go outside with Kratos at Flanoir. If you get his locket, you're all set. He'll get the title at Dirk's house. (Warning: getting Kratos comes with the price of the life of a certain party member...)

When Evil Birds Revolt--Zelos' Masked Swordsman Costume
Towards the end of the game, try and go into Zelos' house and get interrupted by those annoying groupies. Regal uses a big word; "debauchery." O___o

Just Can't Wait to Be Chief--Sheena's Sucessor Outfit
(yet another Disney reference) After whupping Kuchinawa's ass, return to Mizuho and speak to Tiga. Then go to the Lightning Temple and head up to where you fought Volt, watch a scene, and back down to Mizuho. Be sure to watch the skit afterwards about Sheena's acceptance speech. Good stuff.

Wahoo--Presea's Klonoa Outfit
After Lathen Gorge, go to the Lezareno Company in Altamira and head upstairs to the President's Office. Notice the people don't seem to like the new mascot very much...I wonder why...but some good skits after this one too. Wahoo. Loople-do.

Les Poissons--Regal's Chef Outfit
(I had to look up the lyrics just to get the spelling of that Little Mermaid reference) At the VERY end, after getting Mr. Derris Emblem, go back to Meltokio and talk to the Wonder Chef at the left of the stairway. Now Regal can make Les Poissons! Les Poissons, Les Poissons, how I love Les Poissons---Zut alors, I have missed one! Sacre bleu! What is this? How on earth could I miss Such a sweet little suculent crab? (Okay, I'm going overboard...)

Jaws--The Beach Costumes
After the Flanoir event, go to Altamira and speak to the lady outside of the hotel. Now to find her four daughters; Meg, Jo, Amy, and Beth! Excuse me...that's not their names. The first one looks like a boy. It's standing on the beach. The second is on the second floor of the hotel. You need to have Zelos or Kratos talk to her. The third one is at the theme park. Speak to her, talk to the mom, and speak to her again to get her to come. Finally, talk to the girl by the bar. The mom and her kids will vanish, then you can talk to the receptionist in the hotel to get the bathing suits. You chose somebody, and the other two are your highest affection characters. Some of them are quite interesting, especially Zelos'...*is scarred for life*

Everybody Dance Now--The Formal Costumes
(Please excuse my horrible puns) After the Flanoir event, talk to Sebastian, then to the king, and head to Gaoracchia Forest by the save point to stop the Pope once and for all. Muahaha. Now back to the castle, Zelos' house, to the castle again, and finally to the building left of Zelos' house. You can talk to three people, plus the person you chose on the balcony. (Guys, get Sheena's outfit. You'll like it...*rolls eyes*)

Maxwell, the Final Summon Spirit
After making the pact with Origin, equip Aquamarine, Ruby, Opal, and Garnet on the four party members you're taking into battle, and go to Exire. At the house where you got Virginia's Diary, go around it to get to a long passageway. Examine the stone to start the battle! Toro! Watch out for Meteor Storm--he's not too terribly hard, though.

You'll Poke Your Eye Out--The Sword Dancer
He's that giant skeleton thing you see in the intro movie. Sound like fun? You bet. Luckily, he's totally optional, but for all you insane freaks like me, here's where to find him. He always appears as a snapping skull thing, by the way:

Version 1.0
Mine at Ossa Trail (the door Sheena came out of). You must beat him before going to the first Tower of Salvation.

Version 2.0
Gaorrachia Forest, south of Devil's Arms chest. You have to beat him after the first one, and before Disc 2.

Version 3.0
Iselia Forest, towards the very end.

Happy hunting. In all honesty, I've never had enough motivation to beat the Sword Dancer (but I did get all the Devil's Arms...what's wrong with me?), so tell me how it is. I'll probably do it on my third playthrough.

Mawwiage--Yuan's Ring
(that was supposed to be like the priest in the Princess Bride who gives the speech at the wedding, you know...) After the Remote Island Human Ranch, go to Hima to find...YUAN! After he leaves, high-tail it to the top of the Fooji Mountains, where we learn, or rather, reinforce the fact that Colette is an idiot. Then, after Latheon Gorge, go to the Palmacosta Human Ranch to confirm your suspicions...muahaha...and also to learn that Yuan doesn't know the magic words. Haven't we been over this before?

Saving Clara
Easy enough. Just go to Izoold's lame excuse for a beach towards the end of the game.

When You're the Best of Friends--Raine's Sickness and Genis and Mithos' "Bonding Time"
After Mithos leaves Sybak library, go back to Altessa's house and Raine randomly drops dead--okay, not dead--with the Ozette Cold. If you choose to stay behind, Lloyd sits with Raine (how cute, shut up anti-Lloyd/Raine people) and falls asleep himself. If you choose to follow them, Genis gets a new title and Mithos scares the hell out of you. Equally weird, if you ask me.

"And just who the hell are you?"
--Yuan
